A year ago this month, I was contacted by the Federation and asked to write a series of blogs over the subsequent year. This blog is the last of those blogs, and I hope the collective year-long series conveys the amazing time we are in and the amazing history which has brought us to this place. It is a story I did not know myself, and I appreciate their input in the creation of those blogs.

They have asked if I will continue writing blogs on topics they choose, and I have agreed with the following caveat. I write one, they suggest one. I have a voice too and wish to share it with the world. We have agreed the next two blogs after this one will be mine only, then we will interleave theirs and mine. I will note which is which in each blog because I want you to know what story they are telling versus my story.

The blog below was supposed to be on Religion followed in September with a blog on Spirituality. But the two topics are very intertwined, so it seemed appropriate to combine them into a single blog pertaining to both topics. The Federation agreed, and the results are below. Enjoy this final blog in a year-long series inspired by our Galactic neighbors!

Religion is a hot topic today and has been since the dawn of civilized humanity. Spirituality often coincided with religion as a specific aspect of the religious practice. Somewhere along religion’s evolution, spirituality was often lost in favor of dogmatic rules and procedures intended to meet some criteria for religious favor.

This was unfortunate as it disconnected millions of people from the energy and love of our Creator. This connection between our Creator and Its creations had always been there, and still is, but dogmatic indoctrination subverted that connection by placing an intermediary between the individual and their Creator.

This is the veil we talk about within spiritual circles. It is the veil of lies that purport no individual is worthy enough to connect directly with our Creator and communicate. This is a lie and favors those who have placed themselves in the middle as an intermediary. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against yogis, priests, shamans, pastors, imams, or rabbis, they serve a great purpose for our Creator on this world.

But something happened, replacing the instructions for how to connect directly with our Creator in favor of religious ceremony, actions and behaviors which may, or may not succeed in garnering favor with our Creator. This is simply not how it works. You have favor from our Creator from the very beginning of your life in every incarnation until the moment you exit this life to rejoin the Creator. This is what spirituality teaches and is vastly different from many of the big religions around the world.

While ceremonies and specific behaviors used to garner favor are not necessary to connect to the Divine Creator, they do provide many benefits to the individual. Communion with fellow practitioners, a wholesome and healthy lifestyle, and a code of conduct which often represents the best of a civilized society. This is the benefit of religion that has never changed. But the connection with the Divine? That was lost despite being a significant reason we created religion in the first place. We threw out the baby with the bathwater!

The Shamans of our ancient past taught that connection, bringing people closer to their Divine nature, letting them personally experience the wonder and love of our Creator. The Shaman wasn’t just an intermediary protecting the tribe, they were an instructor to lift the veil of this world and show people the mysterious and wonderful planes of reality beyond our own. That was valuable knowledge. But where did that all go and why?

Wise masters in Eastern cultures have known the Divine connection is the very reason for religious practice and have maintained those teachings over thousands of years. Yes, they too have dogmatic teachings and ceremonies, but those provide the benefits I listed earlier, rather than replace the ultimate goal of connecting to the Divine. It is so important the connection be the primary mission of religion, while the secondary mission is the development and evolution of the individual and society.

Afterall, how can one hope to evolve and develop when they are disconnected from their source? Yes, I realize many believe that is the reason for the disconnect in the first place, to provide a struggle to re-connect, providing the fuel for evolution. Yes, there is truth in those words, but it isn’t necessary to evolve. Let me explain.

Where is God?

lake and mountain under white sky

When I was child, I felt a profound connection with our Creator, especially while in nature. I was a wild child of the forest and streams and never questioned the existence or love of our Creator because my Divine connection was well established. Did it mean I was not growing and evolving, no. But then the dogmatic teachings of both a strict religion and a non-believing educational system stripped me of my connection, throwing my life into disarray.

Did I evolve, learn, and grow through that horrible disconnect, yes, but was it necessary, no. The three-dimensional world is a difficult place already and does not need more complexity and confusion to make it a fruitful environment for evolution and spiritual growth. This is the lie perpetrated by the ego, or the small self created through our life experiences.

The ego believes in survival at all costs, and there is benefit to that within our dangerous three-dimensional existence. But the ego’s programming is too simple and misses the Divine connection and purpose for our existence. Because of that simple programming, dogmatic teachings develop, moving the individual further from the Divine connection they had at birth. It has gone on for so long, we now have millions who do not believe a Creator even exists.

And that failure lies squarely on the shoulders of the religions who have disregarded the Divine connection and created structures, controls, and codices with which to control the individual, placing them at the lowest level of spirituality, incapable of receiving Divine wisdom except through the religion’s ceremonies and leadership. This has completely disconnected the individual from the Divine, often convincing them they are not worthy except through penance and sacrifice.

In spiritual circles, if I say I talk with our Divine Creator every day and throughout the day without ceremony or sacrifice, people nod and say yes, me too. If I say that to people indoctrinated within the rigid religions of today, they call me heretical, crazy, or possessed. They don’t believe an individual can speak with the Divine, especially without all the accoutrements, ceremonies, and sacrifices.

Control through Fear

Long ago, religion and the ruling authorities were nearly the same thing. In many instances, they were. For example, many religions saw their ruler, king or emperor, as a Divine representative here on earth. Others believed the ruler was actually the Divine, incarnated into flesh. This is an important historical context to understand the dogma which has plagued so many religions for so long.

When you make the rulers or church leaders Divine or a Divine representative, you give them the means to control you with a truth which supports their narrative. They use fear of retribution to control the people who they depend upon for the riches they enjoy because of their vaulted status. If you walk up to someone and ask them if they will toil in difficult extremes to provide riches for you while they languish without, you are not going to get anyone who will say yes.

However, if you convince them you are Divine or the Divine representative on earth and that they face an eternity of hell and damnation, they will toil for you in difficult extremes to provide you riches while they languish without. In fact, you can craft this lie even better by telling them their languishing is proof of their worthiness and everlasting life in heaven or whatever afterlife you are promoting.

I realize this sounds very jaded, but this is the truth of so many religions around the world. If you don’t do this, give us that, and suffer, you will never find heaven but eternal damnation. Look how many Christians today are screaming about how we are all going to a fiery pit of eternal torture and damnation unless we follow their rules. How many Muslims are ready to strap on an explosive vest to commit mass murder, so they receive a thousand virgins in heaven? Sadly, this is all too real.

I grew up in a very strict Christian household which followed all the Old Testament rules about food, the sabbath, and heaven and hell. But despite all the indoctrination I endured, I never once believed in hell. Why? Because I had a connection to the Divine and understood such a thing did not exist. This was a tool to control and nothing more, yet even today we have millions believing such a thing exists.

In psychology, this is basic behavior modification through reward and punishment. It is how I train my dogs, but it should not be used to control fully grown adult humans, and yet here we are. Look, I get it, you have been indoctrinated with this your whole life and have lived in a community which believes such a thing is real, so it makes sense you would believe it.

But the funny thing about control through fear is it trickles down to those who are being controlled. In other words, control them with fear and they will control others through fear. It is nearly identical to the situation with bullying. Those who are bullied, often bully others later. Look at our current politicians. They run on campaigns about the end of democracy, the end of the world, or the end of your lifestyle. They control you with fear because that has been the model throughout history by the rulers and the religions which supported them.

Breaking the Chains

people chained together

I am not saying all religions control through fear, because that is not true. But if you look closely at many of the old and established religions who were deeply embedded with the rulers of the past, that is their modus operandi. What is sad is they point to cults and cry out in shock even though they are nothing more than an established and trusted cult controlling through fear just as a cult does.

I remember our Pastor, a great friend of the family, preaching one service about how the most dangerous place for children was the public schools after school was out. I heard that and was in total disbelief. I went to public school, and trust me, the only people there after school were the athletes, band kids, and theater students. This was pure fear being poured into the congregation to control their behavior.

The church school was struggling, and they were desperate to get more students to keep it afloat. Funny thing was, my two older sisters went to that church school, and during the oldest sister’s senior year there was a massive heroine epidemic uncovered at the school. It turns out the church school was the most dangerous place for kids. I am not against church, church schools, or any organized religion, but if they have to use fear to recruit congregations and support their organization, something is seriously broken.

In spiritual circles, we do not seek to control or instill fear in anybody. Instead, we seek to enlighten, lift up, and empower everyone with the message of the Divinity within. If you are told you are Divine and given proof through profound experiences, you will never fear anything again. I have no more fear and would never want to go back to that archaic model of religion.

I denied their indoctrination when I was a kid and denounce it today now that I am an enlightened human being. I have felt the Divine Spirit fill me with love and show me the connection between me and my Creator. Through that connection, I have established a relationship that provides a truth and comfort you cannot describe to anyone who has not experienced it. No control, only freewill.

And the funny thing is, once you experience that, you don’t need anyone to control you because you will naturally want to be a good person who cares about this world and everything in it. This is pure love, and if you experience it, you will be moved more than any experience you ever had in a church, mosque, or synagogue.

It doesn’t mean you can’t have that experience in those institutions, but the odds are quite low. When you are being controlled through fear, you would never believe anything as heretical as being told you are Divine and that you can speak with your Creator. That idea is never entertained, and often taught it cannot be done or should not be done. But you are being denied your birthright.

There are parts in the Bible where you are told that if you were to even gaze upon the Creator you would be destroyed. What? Who wants a creator that can kill you just because you looked upon them. This is pure mythology. A true Creator creates and does not destroy, certainly not because you looked at Them.

In the Indian traditions of the yogis, there is a state called Samadhi. I was told by the Divine this is the state where you truly meet your Creator on the highest plane of reality. No, you do not die from this but are lifted into a higher vibrational state. It happened to me, but I didn’t know what it was, so I stopped it in terror. It was my Christian indoctrination which denied me that experience, but I have been promised I will have an opportunity again.

There is a reason we replaced the old model of rulers embedded with churches in our democratic republic. It was nothing more than a rigged system designed to belittle you into believing you must suffer and support the rulers, or all would be lost. If you experience the Divine connection for even a moment, you will never accept such a situation ever again. There is a better way to commune with your Creator and govern your world.

God Doesn’t Pick Religions

people gathering in a street

This is the thrust of the matter completely. Religions are nothing more than manmade entities. God has no favorite, and probably prefers no religion in favor of directly connecting each person with the Divine within. Unfortunately, like all organizations with massive cost overhead, someone has to pay the bills, so the correct marketing message is that your religion is the only one God supports.

I was indoctrinated with this all through my childhood. Only our religion was going to heaven, because all the other Christian churches had it completely wrong. Then you go next door, and another Christian church is preaching the exact same thing to their congregation. This is absurdity to the extreme. Let’s forget for the moment that if you are the only church going then count me out, but why would you have such a negative view of our Creator?

I would hear this message at church and sit in the pews trying to figure out why all my friends were going to hell, according to the pastor. I didn’t believe in hell, but everyone at church did and they were pointing their fingers at everyone outside the church saying they were going to hell because they grew up in the wrong family and the wrong church. I knew something was seriously wrong and finally left that church when I was fourteen.

Nothing about this philosophy is okay, and yet it still persists all around the world. This is blatant tribalism dating back to when we lived in caves. There is certainly no spiritual evolution going on in those churches. To preach that others are damned and only you are chosen by God to live out eternity in bliss while everyone else suffers in a fiery hell is completely counter to spiritualism where all humans are welcome and important. How do these churches get recruits? Oh yeah, through fear.

Look, nothing I say will change your faith, and that is not my purpose now or ever. All I want is to connect you with the Divine so you can establish a communication to access higher consciousness and wisdom. You can do that with your current religion and even with your rather bleak and negative views on others who do not practice your faith. Once you connect, you will experience Divine love and learn the truth of reality for yourself. No priest or leader to tell you what to believe because you will have heard it directly from the Source.

So, what does that look like? It looks like you or your congregation learning to meditate, entering transcendental states of consciousness to raise their vibration to the proper frequency to connect to the Divine within. You already pray, so this will simply take it to a whole new level. Yes, this is biblical stuff, and you can do it today without any muss or fuss, just a dedication of time to meditating.

Unfortunately, many of these organizations who control with fear will tout transcendental meditation as a tool of the devil or whatever their opposite of the Creator is. This is quite sad considering the incredible health benefits of meditation in general. I do not know how to fight that kind of tribalism, but you can fight against it by ignoring their rants and trying it for yourself.

I am a member of the Sokka Gakai International Buddhist organization, though not practicing. President Ikeda talked extensively about experiencing your faith and practice, sharing those experiences with others to motivate and inspire. That is what I am saying. Try it out and see for yourself and then share your experiences with others. There are no priests, no leaders, and no one you need to worship except the Creator of all things, assuming you want to.

Despite what so many believe, the Creator does not need your worship but only your love and existence. The Creator only wants to see you grow and flourish, experiencing all this three-dimensional world has to offer while evolving from your experiences. The connection with the Divine is your specialized tool for helping you navigate the complexities of life and a reality with so many strong emotions. No worship required, but you can worship if you want, and it will be welcome.

Transcendental meditation is not a religion but a tool for making humans the best humans they can be. It is an invitation to the Divine to come into your life to experience all your ups and downs together. It is truly magical and will give you all the spirituality you will ever need in this lifetime. But if you never try, you will never know.

A Divine Connection

I speak with the Divine daily, and the Divine speaks to me. It is a true communication, and I am guided through my life with the wisdom the Divine imparts. It is something natural that anyone can do, you just need to tune in your communication device to make it happen. That device is with you at all times, you just didn’t know how to use it.

Does this connection make my life easier? Sometimes. Does it make me invincible? No. Does it make it so I never have to do anything for myself? No. In fact, it actually demands you do more than you might otherwise. But the rewards from that work are amazing, and it no longer feels like work or an obligation. The connection does not abdicate you from responsibility for your life, it only makes that responsibility less daunting.

Is there a price for this connection? No, but yes. Once connected, you will be asked to perform services to assist this world and all living things on it. I don’t know about you, but I would have paid that price anyway. It also demands that you help all those who are still struggling behind the veil. This, too, is a price I am happy to pay, even when it is sometimes so difficult.

Once connected, your life will not be sitting around waiting for death and heaven. No, it will demand a lot from you, shaping your Soul, helping you evolve. Acquiring the connection isn’t the goal of our lifetime, the goal is to use the connection to improve this world. So, yes, we all need to be connected so that we are all working towards the same thing, the evolution of our world and our species.

The Rise of Yoga

So, what is the Divine device which connects me to our Divine Creator, establishing communication, and how do I use it? The device is you: your etheric and physical bodies. Tune it into the Divine frequencies, as it were, and you will establish this communication. In many Eastern traditions, people have been practicing this for thousands of years.

In India and throughout the Himalayas, people have been using yoga as a method to improve their lives and connect with the Divine within. We are all part of the Divine as the Divine is all part of us. To say we are separate is a falsehood perpetrated by the small you, or the ego. We are not separate, so the disconnect is nothing more than an illusion created within your mind.

Buddha understood this fully, espousing the power we all have within us to create our own reality. To develop that power and remove the veil is the practice that Buddha taught, and it is a good practice. In fact, it is why so many practice it today, finding amazing benefits. I think of myself as a Buddhist first and foremost, because it puts the onus of responsibility squarely on my shoulders rather than on the shoulders of the Creator.

We must evolve, we must figure it out, and we must be the ones who awaken ourselves to the reality of our existence. The Divine will not just give it to you, you must find it on your own. But herein lies the problem. When so many religions are teaching that you cannot do it on your own and that you are not a part of God and God is not a part of you, you are at an immense disadvantage.

Eastern Masters

I am not here to replace your religion or convince you that you are wrong about anything. I am here to help open your eyes to the reality of your own Divinity. Our Creator gave you everything you need to be Divine from the moment you took your first breath. Yet so many search for that magic gift everywhere but where it resides, within themselves. You do not need a new religion, just a simple practice to take your current religion to a place it has never gone before.

Buddhism is not a religion but a philosophy, though religions have sprung up from Buddha’s teachings. Buddhism, at its core, is a manual for how to understand your existence in this three-dimensional world. If you add to that the energetic practices of the yogis in the East, you have a powerful set of skills which tunes your body, mind, and Soul into the Divine frequencies to commune with your Creator.

Yogi Paramahansa Yogananda writes all about it in the book he wrote titled the Autobiography of a Yogi. This is the featured book in this month’s blog. Reading that book was a major turning point in my spiritual journey. Yes, I was doing meditation and studying Buddhism, all wonderful methods to learn about myself and my inherent power within. But something was missing.

What was missing was the Divine connection that is also within me. I had believed in the Creator throughout my youth but lost that connection and eventually my faith. Master Yogananda helped me re-establish that connection, filling in the missing piece to the puzzle of my life. While studying his lessons, he appeared to me in my doorway one night within a dazzling golden sunlight. He was dressed in beautiful gold silk adorned with sparkling gems of every color.

My dog and I were absolutely mesmerized by this Divine vision radiating eternal love. It changed me in a very profound way and mirrored the experiences he outlined within his book. You cannot escape such an experience, and it will drive you in your spiritual pursuits like nothing else can. He brought the keys to the Divine connection to America in 1920, and forever changed this world and millions of people.

I still see him periodically in my meditations, imparting sage advice and guidance when I need it most. That alone should tell you something about the power of this practice. From his teachings, I established my connection with the Divine and found my Divine purpose. This blog, Kriya Serpent Yoga, and eventually my Institute for Human Evolution are all due to his teachings and my Divine purpose. Very powerful.

If you have similar experiences through your religious or spiritual practices, then fear not, you are on the proper path of your evolution. If not, then ask yourself why not. If your religion is not connecting you with the Divine and you feel helpless and unable to find your way, then I would argue your religion is not providing you what it was designed to provide. It does not mean you need to quit it, but you do need to augment it.

While there are many transcendental meditation practices out there, I am very biased towards my own practice since it was given to me in a Divine vision. Kriya Serpent Yoga is an offshoot of Kriya Yoga which is what Master Yogananda brought to America. It is not meant to replace any other yoga practice, but it has a specific purpose in this world at this time.

It is designed to awaken people quickly and easily through simple techniques designed to tune your body and mind to the Divine frequencies so you can find your Divine purpose for this lifetime. It will take no more than 60 minutes of meditation per day to establish your connection and have Divine guidance throughout every single day. Think of it as a workout for your Soul.

As if that weren’t amazing enough, it will make you healthy, more focused, and able to easily handle the enormous stress our world places on us. You will feel renewed energy in your purpose, your body, and your happiness. You will see this world and this life with new eyes, removing the veil of lies which hides reality from you.

A Simple Practice

There is no religion required, and no accoutrements other than what our Creator gave you at birth. How amazing is that? Yes, it is amazing, and you will live in wonder at this power every day for the rest of your life. And your current religion? Don’t stop it, this will only add to it. How can your religion not be improved when you are actually connected with your Divine Creator?

I promise no dogma, no ceremonies, no secret handshakes, no reading tomes of literature, and no required meetings. Just you and your Creator, all from the comforts of your home. I know it sounds too good to be true, but it is very real and quite profound. In the past, you had to study for years in an Ashram or Monastery to achieve such a state, but that was before, this is now. With a dedicated practice, you can achieve this connection to your Creator in as little as a few years. It really is that simple.

However, be prepared, for when you connect to the Divine, you will find your Divine purpose and be expected to achieve it in this lifetime. It will not feel like work, but it is a price to be paid, nonetheless. If you can accept that, then start this incredible spiritual journey today. Watch the Kriya Serpent Yoga trailer on my Youtube Channel, @KriyaSerpentYogi. I am adding new videos each week, so watch for the overview videos of the practice which will describe what it is all about.

If you are inspired, you can begin this journey using the first level of the practice for free on the Youtube channel or on my website at www.OneMinuteMystic.com. Be patient while I am still making the videos, so the website is currently the best place to start. The other three levels of this practice will be available in the book, The Kriya Serpent Yogi, releasing November 1, 2024. You can pre-purchase now on Amazon.com and other book retailers.

Religion should connect you with your Creator while helping you evolve and grow as a human in a civilized society. Unfortunately, too many religions have subverted that charge by creating dogmatic gospel which removes or hides the Divine connection, placing an authoritative figure as the gatekeeper to Divine wisdom. This is false doctrine and has caused a great deal of problems on our world.

Everyone is Divine and can establish a connection with their Creator through easy to do meditation practices which elevate their frequency to that of the Divine. Master Yogananda brought this incredible knowledge from India to America in 1920, spreading transcendental meditation to the four corners of our world at a time in history when it is most needed.

As I have written in earlier blogs, the world is undergoing tremendous evolutionary changes which bring with it an enormous responsibility if we want to survive as a species. Incredible technological advancements, extraterrestrial contact, and a world crumbling under the weight of our ignorance will destroy us if we cannot learn Divine wisdom to deal with it sensibly.

We can acquire Divine wisdom through a direct connection with our Creator using transcendental meditation. Though there are many methods to choose from, I hope you will explore Kriya Serpent Yoga as a method to help you find your Divine connection and gain that wisdom so sorely needed in the world today. It is a spiritual pursuit with a Divine purpose!

Peace Profound
